More dolls

I know I should slow down but so many amazing dolls are out and play sets and for great prices!!! So first I have been obessed with this Midge since the first time I saw her.  I like that she has a vintage and Classic feel.  When I was little I wanted the huge Midge wedding party set.  It was the 90's and it came with Midge, Alex (the groom), Barbie and Ken(the MOH and Best man), Skipper and Kevin (I think that was her boyfriend's name) and then two kid dolls (Stacie size) I don't remember the girls name but I remember the boys name was Todd.  It was pretty pricey so Santa brought me a set with just Todd and the flower girl.  I have always loved Midge's firey red hair.  I know went on a little tangent there.
Next up I added to my disney animator series dolls.  I have Belle (in ther blue dress), tinker belle and Pochahotas.  I am a member of the disney rewards and recently they had Rapunzel and Belle in her yellow dress on the site.  I pick Rapunzel and got her completely free! Can't beat that! They are normally $19 or more.

Next up my MH play sets (I want to do a more up close review, but we will see).  First I got the art class set on clearance for $7.  I have wanted it for awhile but kept waiting because I hate paying full price.  Well my patience paid off.  The reason I wanted this set so badly because I have quite a few dolls with out stands and this freed up a stand plus the girls all came with art pieces to display and I figured the set allowed for that.

This is the new Creepatoria set I got it for... $7 at target.  The problem is that a lot of MH share the same scan bar code. So as target switches out the old for the new there is a small window where you can sometimes get new stuff for clearance prices.  Well I was lucky.  All these dolls are budget dolls an don't have stands so I was able to do some rearranging so they could be displayed nicely.

Okay I have been trying not to buy dolls (hard to tell right all these guys have been purchased over time the last month or so).  I was going to go on a little doll break cause I need to save some money to have AG doll repaired, but I walked into Walmart and there these two were.  I LOVE Scarah and only have one in my MH collection as soon as I saw this one online I knew she was coming home with me!  I will review her soon I hope...
Last but not least here is Jackson.  I just can't skip the guys!!! Cause if you pass on it you are not likely to see them again (not the case with Neighthan Rot in my experience though), but the rest are never seen again.   I'm still searching for Mo, so I will promise that for the next 7 weeks or so NO new dolls unless I find Mo.  I have to save my money to repair my new AG.  Which I will share when I take a good picture.

Vacation haul

I went on vacation last week to Prince Edward Island, Canada for our annual red knights convention.  The area we were in had walmart, target and toys r us, so my first day there I was on the hunt for Slo Mo.  I went to walmart frankly it was a dump not much in the toy section and even less in the monster high section, so I left with a few items I forgot at home.  The next stop was toys r us an I hit gold! They had freaky fusion deluxe boxes (Dracubecca, Neighthan, and the rest of the crew).  They also had the freaky fusion inspired "budget" dolls (Frankie, Oppy and Ghoulia).  I picked out Ghoulia before REALLY looking at the shelf.  Next I found picture day Opperetta with the correct mask! She's been on my wish list forever!! And then I saw I heart fashion Frankie which I have never seen in store! So I walked out with three dolls.  Which at the register gave me a heart attack because of the price.  But it was soooo worth it. I didn't go to target till later in the week and that was another total bust, but I was fine with that.  Before vacation I ordered Billy from justice because they had a sale and it basically gave me free shipping. I'm sooo excited I'm on a winning streak! Individual posts to come after they were freed from their boxes.

Here is my introduction video on youtube.  Showing Neighthan Rot and Dracubecca. I'm hoping I can get my reviews up soon, but my iphone is my only camera at the moment unless I steal my mom's.

Some new doll(s)

I went to post pictures of a couple special monster I just got and apparently I haven't taken any photos of them yet.  I think it's because I attempted to make video reviews of them.  I failed there too.  They just wouldn't upload to YouTube from my phone.  So I will take pictures and attempt a new video after work today.  So for now you have to enjoy a photo of my new American girl doll Addy. I purchased her Monday and she's making her way home as we speak.  I can't wait till she arrives so I can attempt an opening video of her.  She is a pleasant company Addy and from the million photos the seller set me she is beautiful! She comes with her complete meet outfit.  She will be my first AG that I won't have to scramble (persay) to get her collection.  With the looming be forever launch I will probably stress a little bit, but it is what it is.  I will have to do what I do with all my AG dolls and look for stuff on AG groups and eBay if I don't like the new line.  I will post the new MH later and hopefully soon do some Addy photos!

Coffin Bean Toralei

I picked up coffin bean Toralei at justice this evening.  I spent my last $15 for her but it was worth it.  She's awesome, but I do have one complaint.

So first let's discuss the issue.
Her hair!  She had glue in her hair in two places and it's extremely uneven.  I luckily got the glue out and I can trim the hair, but I shouldn't have to.  But on to the comparistion.
Faces
Shoes

Power ghouls
All three girls.

Monster high Robecca Steam

Robecca Steam the daughter of the mad scientist is one of my favorite characters I love her steam punk vibe!! This evening we went to my local Kmart which is closing down next month to look for ankle weights (which they didn't have) and ended up in the toy aisle.  I saw a $20 sticker price on Art Class Robecca who I've been wanting since I went to NY Comic con and saw her for the first time, but at the moment Slo Mo is on my radar so I keep putting the purchase off.  I was curious to see if there was a percentage off the $20 so I checked the price checker and she came to $12 and change! I officially couldn't pass on her.  She is too cute for words.  So I took the time to pull down my other Robecca to do some comparing.  I believe I own all the current Robeccas. Here are some shots:
Art class Robecca without googles.
With her googles (I wish the could make them clear)
Basic Robecca
Dead tired Robecca
Dance class Robecca (don't mind my finger)
The girls side by side
Face close ups
Shoes
Their accessories.

As I mentioned Robecca is one of my favorite characters, but out of the four dance class is my least favorite.  Art class Robecca has my favorite hairstyle, basic is my overall favorite.  And dead tired falls somewhere in between.

My little pony dog tag blind bags

So I have been watching YouTube collectors/blogger lately and some were opening my little pony dog tag blind bags.  At first I didn't know how I felt about them but I love the blind bag concept.  It's similar to the grab bags I got as a child from the toy store.  I love the surprise! So I got 4 today at Walmart and was happy with the results.

My current Monster high collection

Well I started with cabbage patch but as I mentioned the offering was stale.  I lost my passion for them.  It took me awhile to get over it and move on.  I felt drawn to monster high.  I purchased a couple of toys r us to get free shipping on something I bought my nephew.  My thought was that I could have them in the house for the girls who visit, but when they came I couldn't part with them.  From their a year later and over 100 dolls.  Of course I had my dad build me storage so my collection could grow with out being too cluttered.
These are my newest and favorite dolls.  They are from the frights camera action line, ghouls spirit, and the power ghouls to name a few.
My china hutch contains my play sets I only have the coffin bean,  13 wishes DJ play set and the die-ner set.
My fearleading werecat set.
My main shelf contains a majority of my collection.  It's hard to name them all.
I love the variety of dolls each character has multiple looks.  I don't see myself slowing down anytime soon.  Today I found coffin bean Frankie and abbey, but only purchased Frankie.
I haven't opened her yet.  Which is unusual for me.  I'm not thrilled with her glitter makeup and debating how to handle it.  I may fix it on my own.  I'm still searching for sloe mo.

Trying to get back to blogging about my collections.

So I'm toying with the idea of coming back to this blog.  I love my crafting one, but my doll collecting has been kind of on the for front on my focus.  I am currently in graduate school and I don't get a lot of craft time, but I do get time in the store and hunting for dolls.  At the moment my major focus is monster high and american girl.  No new cabbies have come into my house for a long time.  I'm not sure why, but I have been unimpressed with what has been offered on store shelves.  So I have changed my focus to what appeals to me and that is like I said Monster High and American girl.  I hope to start blogging about what I have purchased, how I display my collection and some crafts related to my dolls. We will see if and where this goes over time and if I can handle 2 blogs and working on school.  At least until May when school calms down and my summer of freedom begins.  In the meantime happy hunting.  Hopefully I'll be back with something new soon...Maybe Slo Moe!
